Peter Guttman has travelled on assignment through all seven continents of the world covering more than 200 countries. His photography has been showcased on the covers of close to a hundred Fodor's and Frommer's guidebooks as well as those for Birnbaum, Let's Go, Mobil, and Real Guide books. He's illustrated calendars for clients as diverse as American Express and Calvin Klein, for whom he provided all the images for their first ever travel campaign.

His work was featured at the Eisie Awards ceremony as a finalist in the prestigious Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Magazine Photography in 2000 for an extensive multipage spread published in Life Magazine. Aside from appearing in galleries, museums, and hundreds of magazines and newspapers, his images have been seen on advertisements, CD covers, postcards, posters, international postage stamps, and even has been the subject of a Hollywood dramatization in motion pictures. These pages provide a selection of photography and published work chosen from his library of approximately half a million slides. None of these images have been manipulated or digitally altered.
